Parent Feedback
- Avyukth started chess only about two months back, when he joined Destiny. Before this he hardly knew the game — he knew the names of a few pieces and that was about it. He was also quite restless at that age, sitting in one place for long was difficult for him. But in these two months we have really seen a change. He has become more patient, he actually thinks before making a move now instead of just playing quickly.
- Even at home, we can see he is taking his time with his homework and not rushing through it. His confidence has also improved a lot. He doesn't mind playing with bigger kids, and even if he loses he wants to play again and find out where he went wrong. A big reason for all this is Miss Priya. She is very patient while explaining, and she knows how to handle kids and make them understand the tricks in a simple way. She never rushes them. Avyukth is always excited on class days, which for us as parents says a lot. We are really thankful to her for all the effort she has put in. We would definitely recommend Destiny Chess Academy to other parents — the kids learn chess, but they also pick up a lot more along the way.
Coach Feedback
- It has been a pleasure coaching Avyukth over the last two months. In such a short time, his growth has been remarkable. He has transformed into a calm and thoughtful player who takes his time to think before making a move. This patience and improved focus is his biggest achievement. What I really appreciate about Avyukth is his attitude. He is fearless; he is confident to play against older and stronger kids, and he never gets disheartened by a loss. Instead, he is eager to understand where he went wrong and correct it.
- That is the mindset of a true chess player. He is always attentive in class, asks good questions, and comes with a lot of excitement to learn. He has built a strong foundation in piece movement, basic tactics and opening principles. With his positive attitude and willingness to learn, I am sure he will do very well in the coming months. Proud of you, Avyukt!
